Identity · Storefront · Search · Paid · Social — a venture of our own, run like a client

    What needed fixing
A new brand and store from a blank page — no identity, no storefront, no catalog, no content. Two audiences to reach, the throttle kid and the daily rider, and a parts market where fitment is the whole question.
    What we did
The identity from zero — emblem, lockups, guidelines. A scratch-built Shopify theme around a verified-fitment database covering 122 bike platforms, with a persistent garage selector and three product-page families. Sixteen dealer catalogs loaded. Then every channel run monthly: search, Google and Meta ads, social, email, marketplaces.
    What changed
From a name to a live, selling store in under three weeks — brand, storefront and marketing as one build, run by one team. The full version of both things we offer, on a business we own.

Brand system · Website · Search — built on the logo they already had

    What needed fixing
An IT solutions partner that wins work on a handshake and then loses it to a template WordPress site — the brand on the screen did not match the person in the room.
    What we did
Kept the wordmark they had and built the system around it: type, color, voice, business card and social kit. Presented two full site concepts, then designed and hand-built the 17-page site that shipped.
    What changed
A presence that closes the credibility gap after an introduction, built on what was already working rather than starting over.

Identity · Storefront · Photography · Marketplace listings

    What needed fixing
An established, family-run apparel business selling at scale on Amazon, with a template storefront that did not look or work like the brand.
    What we did
Identity and design tokens, product photography, a custom Shopify theme and the Amazon listings, in one pass. In 2026, a full theme rebuild that removed the render-blocking build, and a branded transactional email suite.
    What changed
A storefront built to convert and a marketplace presence that reads as one brand — with an ongoing inventory program behind it.
§ why x-brands An owner’s perspective, not just a designer’s.

We build brands.
We’ve also built businesses.

x-brands is a family studio, building brands since 1999 — starting with our own. Alongside client work we run ventures of our own, and they sit in the gallery next to the client projects, held to the same standard: the software this site is hosted on, the system the studio runs on, a merch line.

It changes how we work. We know what a brand costs to run after it launches — so every project ends with a plan, the marketing is run by one accountable team rather than sold as tasks, and the founders are in the work from the first conversation to the last.

§ how it works What happens after you get in touch.
01 understand One message starts it. We ask about the business, what isn’t working, and what you already have — a brand, a site, a list, a team. Usually a conversation within a day.
02 scope You get what we’d do, what it costs, and how long — in writing. A defined project, an ongoing engagement, or one and then the other. No packages, no tiers.
03 build, or run A project ships with everything applied and a 12-month marketing plan, included. An engagement starts with that plan and runs monthly — the same team every week, accountable to revenue.
§ the door One door.

What’s the business, and what isn’t working?

A sentence is enough — starting from scratch, or building on what you have. We come back with what we’d do, what it costs and how long. Usually within a day.
